World Bank Conference on Counterfeit Medicines

SICPA was invited on October 2 & 3, 2012 to participate in the World Bank’s knowledge sharing workshop in Washington D.C., USA.

The objective of this workshop was to contribute to a multidisciplinary understanding of the global phenomenon of “Counterfeit Medicines: Impact and Potential Solutions”.

The panellists presented and discussed the scale and trend of the phenomenon, its public health and economic impact and the potential solutions from legal, regulatory, technology and enforcement perspectives.

SICPA was invited to deliver a presentation entitled Innovative Technologies to Identify Fake and Substandard Drugs.
